Grammar Navigator

About

Grammar Navigator is a multilingual grammar reference and comparison platform. Our core idea is simple: understand grammar through language comparison.

Instead of learning three separate grammars, you learn one concept and compare how Spanish, English, and Chinese implement it — side by side, on a single page.

Who we are

Grammar Navigator is built and maintained by a small team of multilingual language enthusiasts with backgrounds in linguistics, translation, and software engineering. We are not a language school — we are a reference library created by people who love comparing how languages work.

How content is created

Every topic begins with research in authoritative descriptive and pedagogical grammars for each language. We then synthesize the rules into a unified comparison, add real examples, and identify the most common mistakes multilingual learners make. Each topic is reviewed for accuracy before publication.

Sources & verification

We draw from established reference grammars such as the Cambridge Grammar of English, the Nueva Gramática de la Lengua Española (RAE), and the Comprehensive Grammar of Modern Chinese. When rules vary by dialect or register, we note the variation explicitly.

Transparency

We do not use AI to generate grammar explanations. All content is researched, written, and reviewed by humans. If you spot an error or disagree with an analysis, we welcome corrections — grammar is complex and conventions evolve.

What makes us different

  • Side-by-side comparisons across three languages
  • Real examples, not abstract rules
  • Common mistakes for multilingual learners
  • No sign-up, no paywall

Open source spirit

The site is built as a static resource that scales to more languages and topics over time. Contributions, corrections, and suggestions are always welcome.
